There will be a fly - in event at Middle Wallop on the weekend 16/17 June 2012. It is to celebrate 75 years of the Army Flying Association and as many Austers (they are targeting 75!) and Chipmunks as possible will be welcome. There should be no landing fees and fuel will be available. Overnight parking is expected to be available for those who wish it and it should be possible to camp out (if you are that way inclined!) near the aircraft in the Army Air Corps(AAC) Museum area.
I would love to get as many Chipmunks there as possible and I am sure a mass fly past of Chipmunks would be welcome at some stage subject to the usual flying approvals. Some form of entertainment may be forthcoming and I think a local pub will be providing a BBQ in the evening. The AAC Museum has a café for refreshments and cooked breakfasts etc. The organisers would be grateful if we could publicise this as widely as possible within the Chipmunk community.
As you may know Middle Wallop is a fabulous place to fly into and it should be a fantastic weekend...... more to follow as I get it from the Army.

ChipFest is a gathering of DHC-1 Chipmunks who come together to practice formation flying, aerobatics and generally have fun with these great aeroplanes.
